About Marc Oehmler
As of Fall of 2018, I will be a junior at the University of Maryland. Here I am a double major in Philosophy and Government and Politics with a concentration in International Relations. Considering my majors, I love ambiguity and theory. I'm not a big fan of numbers and data, but occasionally numbers are necessary in my majors, but they tend to keep their distance. I have many intellectual interests, specifically politics related, but before I switched my major to philosophy I was an English major. Again, not a big fan of numbers.
A little bit about me other than academics: I have two dogs, whom I love. One is a yellow lab whose name is Popcorn; she is my heart and soul. The other is Charlotte who is a shih poo, but I tend to exaggerate the first syllable with an added "t" at the end for comedic effect. She is also awesome, but she tends to steal part of my soul every time she barks. (She has a very annoying bark). Also, I am a proud Pittsburgh native. The greatest city in the world. I also studied abroad in Rome my first semester of college, so if I'm ever around the people whom I studied abroad with all we tend to do is reminisce about Rome. It's great, but people who didn't go with us tend not to like it. Well, I guess that is enough about me. I hope you enjoy my website!
This website portfolio is an opportunity for me to showcase all that I have done these past eight months as a UTA for ENGL 101, including lesson plans, a group presentation, discussion posts as well as learning logs and two reflective essays.
